Today i received an e-mail that there was an sun Halo…
1 minute after reading the e-mail i took my camera for some photo’s…
well, here we go.

today an particle eclipse was above the netherlands.
the sun its surface was covered for around 24% by the moon.
It took me a while to get the first image, because i slept not much ( thunder storm till 4:00 AM )
the first 10 minuts the sun was completely behind alot of clouds.. so i was thinking…shall i go to bed again or set up the telescope.
Well, i didn’t go to bed, so i did some imaging with my new Orion Glass solar filter for my 8” sct.

Thunderstorm 1-08-2008

last few days were just to hot to work… but all the work has payed of, this night we had an amazing thunderstorm heading to ijmuiden.
well it started with some flashes around 00:15 AM, around 01:10 AM more flashes, and also some nice sounds…
well here some pics.
*made with eos 1D Mark 2, around 15 secs exposure per photo, around iso 320. and 17mm @ F5,6
